Composition on Themes from Petrarch’s Sonnets

Inspired by Petrarch’s sonnets, this composition explores love, longing and the unattainable ideal. Two elongated figures within arched architectural frames are linked by a small central image. Fine lines, detailed textures and open areas of paper create a contemplative dialogue between the figures.
